The Hip Hop community has had some of the most iconic rap labels/groups in history such as Wu Tang Clan, Bad Boy, Death Row, etc. Ruthless Records, led by Easy-E have brought us some of the most iconic rap acts and here are those Top Five Ruthless Records Artists in no particular order:
#1-Bone Thugs N Harmony
Bone Thugs N Harmony is a rap group from Cleveland, OH. The have made hits such as, Tha Crossroads, and my all time personal favorite Thuggish Ruggish Bone.
Fun Fact: There hit song, “Tha Crossroads won a Grammy in 1997
#2-N.W.A.
NWA is a rap group from Los Angeles, CA. They have made hits such as Fuck The Police, Straight Outta Compton, and Gangsta Gangsta.
Fun Fact: In 2015, NWA’s life was depicted in a hit movie with the same name as their hit song, “Straight Outta Compton”. The movie made $201.6 million.
#3-Easy E
Easy E is a rap visionary. He brought West Coast gangsta rap to the forefront with his group, NWA and label Ruthless Records.
Fun Fact: Easy E’s oldest son, Eric Darnell “Lil Easy E” Wright stars on the hit WeTV show, Growing Up Hip Hop.
#4-The D.O.C.
The D.O.C. is a rapper from Dallas, TX. He contributed to some of the lyrics on NWA’s, “Straight Outta Compton”. He also was one of the writers of Dr. Dre’s smash album, “The Chronic”
