The Met Gala has been in existence since 1948. And, every year the fashions on the red carpet never disappoint. Of course, the Met Gala has evolved throughout the years.
And, many of Hollywood’s elite come out to support Ann Wintour. Money raised at the event keeps the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s programs alive.
During this event, we get to see fashion at its finest. Also, we get to see the most outrageous ensembles. Anna Wintour of Vogue is the host of this phenomenal event.
We wrote about last year’s event just yesterday. As a matter of fact, some celebrities attend the Gala every year.
In this case, we were watching to see what Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and other hip-hop females would wear. As expected, Cardi B did not disappoint us.
She came out with a beautiful sequence gold gown. This form-fitting ensemble was gorgeous. However, I was really impressed with singer Alicia Keys, and La La Anthony’s gowns.
Alicia was accompanied by her husband producer Swizz Beatz. Both decided to represent New York. Her gown was silver with an extremely long black cape with NY city on it.
Swizz Beatz wore a black and white baseball jacket which was paired with black slacks and matching shoes. They were probably the best-dressed couple.
But it was La La Anthony’s burgundy ensemble with the pill boy hat that did it for me. Not to mention, Janelle Monae’s glamorous Hollywood theme dress stole the show.
Especially since she captured the gilded glamour theme. Another thing, some of hip-hop’s men were dressed very nice. I especially like rapper Gunna’s outfit.
Of course, Kid Cudi wore my favorite color blue. Having said this, after the red carpet celebrities attend the most lavish parties. In reality, this spectacular event was a sight for sore eyes.
