R. Kelly Arrested Again! Grammy award winning artist R. Kelly was indicted on Thursday night in Chicago! Kelly is facing more than a dozen state charges for federal crimes which include Child Pornography!
R. Kelly Indicted on New Charges in Chicago and New York!!
52-year old singer R. Kelly, whose real name is Robert S. Kelly, is in more trouble with the law, ya’ll! He was indicted on new charges in Chicago and New York. Chicago already has him under indictment on state charges for federal crimes such as abuse and aggravated sexual assault. Now federal agents caught Kelly while he was walking his dog and took him into custody on multiple charges, including enticing of a minor.
In separate charges, R. Kelly was also indicted in New York. Federal Prosecutors in Brooklyn have charged him with one count of racketeering, which involves sexually exploiting underage girls and kidnapping. In addition to these charges, accusations against Mr. Kelly also claim that he violated the Mann Act, which is transporting across state lines for the purpose of prostitution. Five unnamed women are listed in the New York indictment, 3 of them were underage at the time of the alleged incidents.
R. Kelly Accused of Giving Woman Venereal Disease!!
There’s more! He’s also charged with The Mann Act relating to a 5th woman who claims that in 2017 and 2018 R. Kelly coerced her into engaging in sexual activity in the New York City Region and exposed her to a venereal disease. Though the woman is not named, the dates and accusations match a lawsuit filed by a woman from Texas named Faith Rodgers. According to the New York Times, Ms. Rodgers alleges in her lawsuit filed in Manhattan last year that R. Kelly knowingly infected her with herpes, as well as sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Kelly was acquitted of similar charges back in 2008. Since then renewed interest in the behavior of Mr. Kelly came to light after a 6-part documentary titled Surviving R. Kelly and later an interview with co-anchor of CBS News, Gayle King.
Ten additional state crimes were thrown at him in February, and more in May. Even though he pleaded Not Guilty, charges keep on piling up on R. Kelly. Of course, he denies them all! Steve Greenburg, R. Kelly’s lawyer, stated that Mr. Kelly was –
“aware of the investigations and the charges were not a surprise.”
Kelly’s lawyer also added that he –
“look forward to his day in court, to the truth coming out and to his vindication from what has been an unprecedented assault by others for their own personal gain.”
