Lil Kim Apollo Gig First Headliner

Lil Kim Apollo show is set for January 26th. And she’s bringing along Ashanti, Remy Ma, and Fivio Foreign to share the stage with her.

Lil Kim Apollo gig is set to take place in just a few days.

This marks her very first headlining show there.

In fact, it is taking place during a special time.

It’s the 89th anniversary of the historic venue.

Additionally, the event starts the Harlem Festival of Culture’s partnership with the Apollo for the next festival weekend.

Teaming up with HFC, the 48-year-old hip-hop icon is sharing the stage with other notable artists.

The show is called “the Jump Off with Lil’ Kim and Friends”.

Speaking with Billboard, Lil Kim had this to say about the event –

“It’s going to be a night to remember to help kick off the Harlem Festival of Culture’s road to the festival with some of my special friends. Apollo was like my backyard; I played there so much and every time it was always love. The crowd is always amazing!”

Being as this is a milestone year for Apollo and hip hop, the first major event was chosen carefully.

“…The first major event out of the gate had to be special and center around hip hop and R&B…” says HFC co-founder and technical & talent producer Yvonne McNair.

Their mission is to celebrate and preserve the cultural contributions of the Black Diaspora in music, media, art fashion, and entertainment.

There’s not a lot to disagree with about that statement.
