Remy, a Bronx native, is a part of Terror Squad. Thus being deeply rooted in the rap game. She suggests:

“Doja Cat, I don’t think she’s a rapper. Let’s be clear with that. They put her in the rapper category.”

The statement was a response to N.O.R.E asking which female rapper she’d choose between Dream Doll and Doja Cat.

As a result, she chose Dream Doll. In addition to her comments about Dojas’ rapper status, she makes it clear, “She makes dope records. I think she’s dope.”

Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Dlamini, grew up in Los Angeles. She garnered attention with her So High single on Soundcloud.

Following a revamp, the single earned a spot on Empire. She seemingly took a hiatus but came back even harder. Her viral song Mooo! was released in 2018.

Doja created and edited the visuals herself. Mooo! is more so a parody, but proved her ability to reach the masses.

The Amala album proves to be a commercial success. In 2019, the Tia Tamera single followed. Unlike her previous hits, she delivered more bars than vocals.

Last but not least, she released the top hit Juicy. Subsequently, it reached double-platinum status.
