Alicia Keys is bringing the magic in the new version of her 2003 hit song, “If I Ain’t Got You“.

This time, she’s doing it for the Netflix series, Queen Charlotte.

The 15-time Grammy award-winning singer joined forces with Netflix to celebrate ‘Queen Charlotte’ for an orchestral rendition of her song released two decades ago.

Brigerton first hit Netflix in 2020, captivating audiences ever since.

Part of the charm of the period piece is the gorgeous orchestral covers of pop songs bringing the past with the present.

Now the prequel series, Queen Charlotte: A Brigerton Story is getting the special treatment with Key’s classic song.

Already they have transposed popular songs by Beyonce, SZA, Whitney Houston, and others.

Keys’ hit song gets an orchestral rearrangement from the Vitamin String Quartet for the series soundtrack.

So how do you like this version?

Netflix also are celebrating the power of women worldwide, with Keys bringing together more than 70 female musicians from all over the world.

This event is celebrating the song’s 20th anniversary.

Ladies from South Africa, Barbados, Germany, Sweden, and Eygpt are among the group.

It is quite a historical moment.

This is the first of its kind, a global orchestra made up entirely of women of color.

Speaking with Billboard, Alicia has this to say about the project –

“The entire idea was quite ambitious. I feel like it’s going to open the minds of many people to realize that women of color belong everywhere and we’ve always been everywhere. It’s magical.”
