2023 NBA All-Star Performance Highlights. The Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City held the halftime show. And, Nigerian-born performers Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema showed out.
For instance, Burna Boy hit the stage with “It’s Plenty'” and “Alone.” Then Grammy award winner Rema belted out “Calm”, and “Down.” To top it off, Tems sang her hits, “Crazy Tings”, and “Free Mind.”
Not only that, but Burna Boy closed the show out with “Ye”, and “Last Last”, as reported by Revolt.
Some were expecting the halftime show to be like Rihanna’s Superbowl performance.
So, the bar was set high, as reported by USA Today. However, Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema delivered a great show.

Temilade Openiyi is a sensational singer from Lagos State, Nigeria.
Her rhythmic style is infused with Afrobeats, R&B and Alte’ music.
Tems is a favorite of fans in this country, as reported by Biography.
Not to mention, she has earned two Billboard Hot 100 entries. Also, some of her song is sampled on TikTok.
In fact, people on TikTok have created a dance just for her song“Free Mind.”
Likewise, Burna Boy is enjoying great success in the U.S. Damini Ogulu is a native Nigerian.
He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Having said this, Burna Boy is the veteran of the group.
Furthermore, Burna Boy has rapped his way into stardom across the globe.
And, then there is Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor. Rema was also born in Nigeria.
As a young rapper, Rema is really making a name for himself.
It was his song “Iron Man”, which bought him fame. Former president Barak Obama had the song on his playlist.
Now, that say something about Rema’s talent. Important to note, Rema was nominated for a Viewer’s Choice award.
Adding Nigerian born music artists was one of the highlights of NBA All-Star weekend.
