Furthermore, Miller talked about the importance of black entrepreneurs. It also talked about bridging the divide in the black music industry., as reported by BLEAV.
But before any of that is possible there must be more passion. In other words, music artists must be passionate about their music. This was a master class of sorts from a hip-hop pioneer.
Some of what Miller shared was about he created a Black-owned cereal company. As a matter of fact, Snoop and Miller are partnering together. Of course, Snoop and Miller have a long friendship.
Both rappers have been in the game for a long time. Their wisdom and knowledge are important to the culture. Especially since each has become very successful.
Not only that, Snoop and Miller understand their assignment to empower Blacks.
Not to mention, Miller believes his responsibility is to empower the next generation. That is the rappers who want to own their brand. One of the rappers Miller tried to help early on was Meek Mill.
Miller wanted Meek to be careful about signing record contracts. At one point, he talked to Meek about signing with Rick Ross. At the time, both Rick and Meek were new in the music business.
Overall, Miller wanted Meek to hold out for a better deal. Well, Meek did not take Miller’s advice. We have all seen how it turned out for Meek. Nevertheless, Meek learned a valuable lesson.
Meek has fulfilled his obligation to his contract. Therefore, he can shop for better record contracts. Equally important, Meek, Rick, and Miller have done well.
