It’s Been 24 Years Since Biggie’s Death. Yesterday marked the anniversary of Brooklyn’s own Notorious Big’s death.
Gene Deal shared his conversation with Ms. Wallace
It’s been 24 years since Biggie’s death. And, there is new documentary on Netflix about his life. The documentary “Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell” aired recently.
I had the opportunity to see it. And, it was a really good documentary. Especially, since Big’s mom (Ms. Voletta Wallace) spoke about his life.
In my opinion, Big was one of the most talented rappers of his time. Also, the documentary gave information about Big’s family most of us did not know, Yahoo. There was footage of conversations between Big and others in hotel rooms.
In addition, we got to see footage of Ms. Wallace homeland, Jamaica. The documentary is a must see. More importantly, the interview with Gene Deal (Diddy’s body guard) provides a conversation with Ms. Wallace after Big’s death.
This perspective from Gene was important to note. Moreover, I thought what Gene said to Ms. Wallace adds to Big’s story overall.
Even though, Big is no longer with us, his story is still relevant. Not to mention, Big’s contribution to hip hop was legendary. More importantly, Big’s music has influenced hip hop in a profound way.
