However, in 2022, Uncle Luke filed a lawsuit against his former attorney and the label. A federal jury returned the music catalog to Uncle Luke.
2 Live Crew’s Music Catalog Acquired
On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Uncle Luke shared a post on Instagram. In the post, he announced that the court had ruled in his favor, as stated by All Hip Hop.
This acquisition secures the rights to their hit songs and ensures that late members Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid have equal rights.
