Dequantes Devontay Lamar’s celebration of life was held on September 17, 2024. His family, friends, and celebrities came to pay their final respects.
According to People, Rich Homie Quan was memorialized with several musical tributes. His dad, Corey Lamar, and his siblings, Andre Munford and Cekoya, participated in the service.
One day before the homegoing, Rich Homie Quan released an emotional track, ‘Song Cry. ‘
The venue was filled with mourners, all gathered to honor Rich Homie Quan’s life and legacy. Tears flowed freely as friends and family shared their memories of Quan.
Rich Homie Quan’s mother, Tammy, shared this,
“When I first held you, my life changed immediately,” Lamar wrote in a tribute published in the obit. “I knew then that I had a purpose in life… Thank you for being the most amazing human being and most importantly, I think God for allowing me to be your dad. Until we meet again – rest in peace son.”
In his obituary, Rich Homie Quan was described as a loving father of five and a ‘miracle child.’ His musical abilities and passion for baseball were also mentioned.

The funeral of Rich Homie Quan drew a veritable who’s who of A-list celebrities. Comedian DC Young Fly, rapper Killer Mike, and Stephen Thomas attended the service.
Fox5 News reported that hundreds of people gathered to pay respects to Rich Homie Quan. President Joe Biden also sent a letter expressing his condolences on Rich Home Quan’s death.
