Roddy Ricch Arrested Before Governors Ball Set
Roddy Ricch was arrested. And it all went down just before he was due to hit the stage at the Governors Ball Festival.

Roddy Ricch was arrested before he could do his set at the Governor’s Ball in Queens, New York.
Though he was due to take the stage at last night’s festival, the website for the venue posted that he was no longer performing.
According to TMZ, the rapper/singer/songwriter had a very good reason for not showing up.
He was behind bars!
As it turns out, NYPD hit him up on multiple gun charges.
Apparently, the ‘Cooped Up’ rapper (real name Rodrick Wayne Moore, Jr.) and his crew were stopped at one of the festival’s security checkpoints.
As reported by law enforcement, officers found a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.
Additionally, there was a large-capacity magazine and 9 rounds of ammo as well.
23-year-old Roddy Ricch was promptly arrested, along with a couple of other folks that were in the vehicle.
In all, Ricch is facing 4 counts of –
- criminal possession of a weapon
- possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device
- unlawful possession of that device
Fans, thinking they were going to see him, were left disappointed.
The festival issued this statement ahead of his scheduled performance –
Unfortunately Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.

Governors Ball Festival Dealing With Several No-Shows
As we reported, other news at the Governors Ball Festival had Migos pulling out, and Lil Wayne stepping in to take their place.
However, Lil Wayne was also a no-show.
Just hours before his scheduled performance, he also pulled out due to “flight disruption.”
Ultimately, that spot was filled by A$AP Ferg.
Roddy Ricch’s latest album release is the December 17, 2021 sophomore effort, Live Life Fast.
The only single released from the album is Late At Night.
And while the reception to his album is mediocre, this video is actually quite good.
