Kanye West Business Manager Lawsuit
Kanye West Sued By Former Business Manager. According to HipHopDX, Ye is facing yet another lawsuit.
His former accountant Thomas St. John filed a suit against him, and several businesses of his.
In documents obtained by TMZ, the celebrity accountant claims Ye breached a financial agreement.
Thomas claims Kanye became aggressive with him during their last encounter. And eventually stopped paying him.
Thus, St. John seeks $4.5 million in damages. Allegedly, the two began doing business together in March 2022. West asked St. John to provide taxation, business management and accounting services.
Also, it was at that time Mr. St. John was appointed CEO of Donda. Thomas requested a minimum two-year guarantee to work with the company.
Ultimately, they reached an 18-month agreement. The lawsuit states:
“In addition to the economic costs and risks associated with committing to Defendants as clients, Plaintiff also needed assurance that Defendants would not simply walk away from the business relationship. Mr. St. John, however, proposed to compromise on an agreement with a minimum term of 18 months.”
Additionally, Thomas began developing a strategy for West’s finances. And the authorizing company TSJ was positioned to receive all of Ye’s financial records.
Well, as the business relationship continued TSJ demanded a two-year contract—as he’d have to turn down other clients in the process.
Seemingly, things hit a downward spiral somewhere in between. As you might know, many athletes also parted ways with Donda Sports following his public rants.
Hopefully, this issue gets resolved amicably. So far, Kanye nor his team has responded.
This is a developing story.
