Will The Song “Slime Shit” Seal Thug’s Fate?
Judge In Young Thug Case Reads Lyrics. Words from “Slime Shit” were read aloud by Judge Glanville.
Clearly, the Williams was allegedly repping YSL. Not to mention, he rapped about his opinion on police. Check out the lyrics,
“Hey, this that slime shit, hey/YSL shit, hey/Killin’ 12 shit, hey/Fuck a jail shit, hey,” “Cookin’ white brick, hey, hey/I’m not new to this, hey, I’m so true to this, hey I done put a whole slime on a hunnid licks, hey, hey.”
Did Williams lyrics give his involvement with YSL away? Or was Williams rapping just that rapping?
Needless to say, Wiliam’s attorney’s did not want those lyrics read. I can see why they would be fighting against it.
Especially since, most of lyrics could possibly seal Williams fate. However, it is fair to assume Williams is guilty because of a song.
Of course, the reading of Williams lyrics by the judge can be problematic. After all, he is on trial for racketeering.
His attorney’s argue that use of his Williams lyrics are racist and discriminatory. In fact, jurors may be poisoned and become prejudice.
Furthermore, attorney Brian Steel claims jurors will be persuaded by what they hear.
That will not give Williams a chance at proving his innocence, as reported by XXL Mag.
It does appear that Williams is getting the short end of the stick.
On the other hand, some would argue Williams has incriminated himself. Nevertheless, I am curious how much the song will influence jurors.
By the way, I thought a law was passed about not using rappers lyrics. Go Figure!!
