Cadillac Tah Talks About His 5k Advance
Cadillac Tah Talks About His 5k Advance. The veteran rapper was a guest on Hip Hop News Uncensored. And, he talked about the music industry.
Who Is Cadillac Tah?
Cadillac Tah Talks About His 5k Advance. Taheem Crocker is a Jamaica Queens, NY-born rapper. His career started with The Inc. Records.
His debut album named “Pov City Hustla” was born out of his experiences. The word Pov is short for poverty. Crocker aka Cadillac Tah grew up in poverty.
As a result, Cadillac Tah wanted to share his life experiences with the world, as reported by Academic. He was fortunate to work with singer Ashanti. Who at the time was new to hip hop.
Of course, we all know that Ashanti has enjoyed great success. Also, songs from Cadillac’s album were in “The Fast and the Furious” movie. In fact, he received credits at the end of the film.
Having said this, Cadillac Tah reminisced about his career. During the interview with hosts O’God and SamAnt, he spoke candidly. Especially, about receiving only 5k.
Like most young artists, he knew nothing about the music business. Therefore, he understands why Mase allegedly gave Fivio Reign 5k. Needless to say, 5k might have been the standard pay for artists then.
In addition, Cadillac Tah now understands why. But he mentioned that new up-and-coming artists have more autonomy. In other words, they can just about write their own ticket. As it relates to the financial end.
We know this to be true. Especially, when we look at independent artists. Those hip-hop artists don’t sign the bogus 360 Slave Deals. Fortunately, this is good news. Great interview!!!
