Malia Will Be Writing For Glover’s New Show

Donald Glover Hires Malia Obama. This is almost unheard of. Especially since Malia is a new college graduate. However, Glover was quite impressed with Malia.

Therefore, he hired her straight out of Harvard. It helped that Malia worked for actor Halle Berry as a production assistant. Malia was only 15-years-old when she got her first gig.

More importantly, Malia worked the entire summer on Lena Dunham’s HBO series Girls. Thus far, Malia has created quite a resume.

For this reason, Glover and his partner (brother Stephen) felt she would be a great fit for their new project. Glover is looking forward to working with Malia.

Primarily, because she will bring a fresh new perspective to the writing team. In his own words, Glover said,

I feel like she’s somebody who’s gonna have really good things coming soon. Her writing style is great.”

And his brother Stephen echoed his sentiments,

“Donald always says perspective is important, and people with different perspectives are important for writer’s room. And for sure, [Malia] definitely has a unique perspective on everything. so we wanted to hear her stories and have her work with us. Listening to her stories and having her involved really gave us a lot of good ideas.”

The Atlanta-born brothers have secured an eight-figure deal with Amazon Prime. They will be producing a TV show based loosely on a Beyonce-like figure, as reported by Black Enterprise.

The multitalented writer, actor, and rapper has made an indelible mark on rap music. He is one of the most conscience rappers of this generation.

So, many fans are looking forward to his new production.
