Charlamagne Confronts Jay Z’s Partnership With NFL!!!
Charlamagne confronts Jay Z’s partnership with NFL. Many Jay Z fans are up in arms about his decision to work with Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the National Football Association. However, others are applauding Shawn Carter aka Jay Z.
Has Jay Z changed his position on police brutality?
Is Jay Z’s Roc Nation partnership just a lucrative business move for the hip hop mogul? Charlamagne Tha God from “The Breakfast Club” took part in a Q & A with Jay Z, Roger Goodell and some other media. Charlamagne asked Jay about why he thought it was a good idea to partner with the league, according to Rolling Out. Especially, since Kaepernick was terminated from the league for taking a stand against police brutality. Here is how Jay chose to answer Charlamagne:
” To take it back, I think that we forget that Colin’s whole thing was to bring attention to social injustice, right? Jay asked rhetorically. “In that case, this is a success. This is the next thing.”
Does Jay have a valid point? Should we move on from kneeling as a form or protest. Jay did mention that he thought protest was still necessary. However, we need to move on to implement change in different way. It will be interesting to see what performers Jay selects for the Super Bowl half -time show. Will any of this what Jay is going to do change police brutality? More importantly, will Kaepernick finally be offered a position in the NFL. Do you think Charlamagne was satisfied with Jay’s answer?
