29-year-old rapper Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, known professionally as DaBaby came under social media fire after a clip from his Sunday (July 25) Rolling Loud performance went viral. The video features a rant considered homophobic. Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., better known by the stage names T.I. and Tip; inserted himself into the conversation defending Dababy. Tip juxtaposed The WAP music video by Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion with Lil Nas X — who is openly gay — music video Montero as a further explanation for DaBaby’s incendiary statements.

“If Lil Nas X can kick his sh** in peace… so should Dababy #equality” Tip wrote in The Shade Room‘s comments after DaBaby set Twitter ablaze. Fans have come forward in droves aiming to cancel both rappers for their sentiments.

This comes on the heels of an already controversial situation involving Tip. At least 10 women and one man are accusing T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle stars, Tip and Tameka “Tiny” Harris of sex, weapons, and drugging crimes committed over the past 15 years. This is an ongoing legal battle that has not yet reached a conclusion.

Making matters worse seeming, DaBaby introduced into his Rolling Loud performance, controversial rapper Tory Lanez who was recently lambasted by rapper Cassidy for plagiarism. Megan Thee Stallion claimed that Tory Lanez is the gunman who shot her in the foot following a pool party at the home of Kylie Jenner. The Canadian rapper pushed back calling the rapper a liar but without defending himself in detail. A fan threw a shoe at DaBaby during this performance after bringing Lanez to the stage. Some say the shoe was thrown by a fan of Megan Thee Stallion. The Adidas shoes missed the rapper, DaBaby, just barely.
