Angela Yee Leaving The Breakfast Club
Angela Yee Leaving The Breakfast Club. After more than ten years, The Breakfast Club is making a major change. Angela Yee is officially leaving the show.
Angela Yee Done With The Breakfast Club
Angela Yee Leaving The Breakfast Club. According to the radio personality herself, The Breakfast Club will never be the same. Yee shook the masses up when she took to social media Tuesday night to post a cryptic message.
“The breakfast club as you know it is officially over 🫶🏽.”
Of course, everyone began speculating that the Worlds Most Dangerous morning show was coming to an end.
Interestingly, the next morning DJ Envy shared a video seeming grateful that his badge still granted him access to the building. To which, in true Yee fashion she replied “for now.”
Well, upon starting the show the Lip Service host confirmed what she meant. She’s leaving the show and moving on up into her own daily talk show. Here’s what she said on air this morning to listeners, DJ Envy and Charlamagne:
“This is really exciting. This is something that I’ve been waiting to do for years now, way before the pandemic. I had actually sat down with our big boss…and I was telling her, like, ‘Look, I really wanna have my own show.’ You know, I have my podcast Lip Service and I was thinking I would be able to get something like a weekend situation.”
Subsequently, the Brooklyn native intends to continue her business partnership with iHeart. So, she’s not straying too far.
“They approached me at iHeart…and told me that they are gonna give me my very own show.”
Angela Yee New Talk Show
As you might know, The Breakfast Club first aired in December 2010. Before joining forces with Envy and Charla, Angela hosted Shade 45’s The Morning After with Angela.
Ultimately, her talent and loyal audience helped her shift into 105.1 in 2010. Over the years, folks have pit her against Uncle Charla.
Thus, many people suggest a rocky relationship lead to her departure. However, it appears to simply be Angela following her dreams, and starting a new endeavor. Much like her cohosts.
So far, we only know her daily show is set to air this Fall. Of course, she’ll stick around until then. What does this mean for Envy and Charlamagne? Will The Breakfast Club eventually get canceled?
